Why should I major in Chemistry?

Chemistry is the study of the chemical composition of substances and its chemical reactions. The study of chemistry can apply to a wide variety of fields, including forensic analysis, environmental studies, medicine development and testing, chemical engineering, agriculture and food processing, and research into new energy sources.
What's the difference between a B.A. degree in Chemistry and a B.S. degree in Chemistry?
A B.A. in chemistry is for you if you want to pursue a career in chemistry, but don't plan to go to graduate school in chemistry or a related field. If you wish to pursue graduate studies in chemistry or a related field, then a B.S. in chemistry is the right choice.
What's Chemical Technology?
A B.A. degree in chemical technology is offered to students interested in a career as a technical assistant in a commercial, federal, or industrial laboratory setting. Many chemical technology graduates have become educators - teaching science to elementary, middle, or high school students.
